I adore texture and creating textures. I lino-cut this design following a market at Ness Gardens near my home. These gardens are part of Liverpool University and are stunning to visit all year round. I use this lino cut as a stamp into a smooth white stoneware clay sheet and I then form the vessel. Once vessel is dry I hand colour using underglaze and then use oxide stains to enhance all the detail of the pattern and clay.
