Ahhh this one was one of those days when I wasn't sure what I felt like doing and turning thistles is most therapeutic. So having played around at that end of the lump of wood I couldn't leave it as a poor lonely decoration so it became this useful little tool, something that works well and feels great...

Full description
Scottish porridge stirrer with the classic Scottish thistle at the top. Also excellent for sauces, scrambles, mixtures, it gets right into the corner of the pan, all along the sides and is so easy to clean just a quick rinse under the tap! This one is beautiful pale blond Sycamore and feels super silky in the hand so a delight to use.
Like all my other kitchen utensils it's excellent for non stick pans so the you won't lose their finish and the spurtle will get an excellent patina with use.
I have several of these all ready to send out with this beautiful Scottish thistle decoration - all in this classic style but with the differences you'd expect in the grain with a natural wood. Each one is equally fascinating and with slight differences in the turnings as I can never make two things exactly alike!
