This necklace is quite a statement piece from the front and the back!
The gorgeous stone is a rainforest rhyolite. The colourings are mostly green, with an interesting pop of white and pink. I have set the stone in a handmade fine silver bezel, with a sterling silver back. I have hand sawn a dragon design into the reverse, which you can see the stone through.
The pendant has a shield shape to it, and I've sawn out little triangles around the stone, and stamped in some decorative lines. The whole thing has an oxidised brushed polish finish. It measures 6cm tall and 3.5cm across at the widest point.
I've put the pendant on an 18 inch leather cord, and made an 'S hook' closure, which is easy to use and I think fits in quite nicely with the overall look.
This one was fun to make- I hope someone enjoys this piece as much as I do!
