We originally designed and made these labels for ourselves to help us tread the fine line between presentablity and eco-friendliness.

The design is an original lino-cut print of ours which we then digitised and printed onto heavyweight, sticky-backed label paper. The paper is made from unbleached bi-product wood pulp and is compostable (including the adhesive).

This listing is for "seconds" - that is, the printer misaligned (as they do) and so the stickers have been guillotined into shape. The only real difference is that they're more closely cropped than our original and it's harder to get the backing paper off as a result, but other than that we find they work fine.

NB. £0.35p per label plus £0.70p postage; buy multiple labels and the postage remains the same.

We want to sell hand-made goods in luxury and craft markets, but we find buying and using new and non-sustainable packaging painful and unnecessary. In our overwhelmingly consumer culture we wanted to make it look "okay" to send something that might otherwise appear tatty or lazy to a buyer.
