Inspiration
In 2018 I had an artist residency in Teignmouth's parish church St Michael's. I am a stained glass artist and the building has amazing stained glass. Over the course of the residency I began to notice the beautiful wooden carvings around the building on the pews and in the rood screen etc. I took plasticine impressions of the beautiful angels and Madonna's faces and cast these impression in crushed, recycled glass. Now I regularly make a few pressings when I visit the beautiful building.
The results include this serene piece.

Full description
This pendant is a small, perfectly formed one of a kind wearable sculpture! It would make a great original gift and is very tactile and smooth to the touch.
This slender pendant sits just below the collar bone and is one a
waxed cotton cord with a hook and chain fastening.
Cast from aqua green recycled glass, that I have crushed into tiny pieced and fired in a mould in my kiln. To release the pendant I have to break the mould, so this is a unique piece.
I cast the angel head directly from the wooden carvings in my town's local church, which has sat by the sea and over looked the town since Saxon times.
