Full description
This fairy sign is a fun way to decorate any environment. It is made from reclaimed Wood.
The picture is approximately 15.5 cm tall and approximately 15.5 cm wide.
To make this sign I glued a number of pieces of wood together then cut a suitable size piece of wood from the glued pieces and sanded it by hand to a smooth finish. A template was applied to the wood and transferred using carbon paper. After checking that the image on the wood was correct then the picture was completed by using pyrography (the art of wood burning). The edges of the wood were lightly sanded to give it a slight round over effect. It was then coated in natural Shellac then finished with a mixture of natural Linseed Oil and food safe glitter before being left to dry for 48 hours. This sign comes finished with sisal twine and is ready for hanging as shown in the picture.
The colour of the sign may vary slightly to the photographs due to the lighting at the time the photographs were taken.

I am a firm believer in upcycling using reclaimed wood whenever possible. I often recycle the packaging I send out my items in.
