Due to family commitments, Plum Porridge will be closed for the whole of December this year, which means that the last day I am able to accept orders in 2024 will be FRIDAY 29TH NOVEMBER.
Last year I had to replace my sofa. It was well past it's sell-by date as a sofa, but we reused as much of it as we could! The back of it yielded several nice pieces of soft brown leather, perfect for the base of this bag.

Full description
The upper part of this tote bag has been made using a strong cotton fabric from Ikea. The base is made with dark brown soft reclaimed leather. Inside, there is a fabric facing at the top for a professional finish, and then it is lined with a beige cotton lining. I have inserted a D ring into one of the side seams, useful for clipping keys or purse safely inside your bag.
Measures approximately 31cm across the top, and is 30cm high. The base has been boxed and the depth at the base measures 8cm. The loop of each handle measures about 57cm and I interlined the handles with a layer of pure wool fabric to make them a little more comfortable to carry by hand or on your shoulder. Beige topstitching adds some nice detail.
Your item will be wrapped in new tissue paper whilst the outer packaging might be recycled.
