It was a piece of gorgeous long, fur that looked just like a lion's mane - had to use it : )
I love to make my lions in a faux suede. He is actually easier to sew than he looks and always a talking point. Gave me the chance to get my pencils out again (after dusting them off ) too xx

Full description
This pattern makes our Charlie Lion. He stands 11 inches tall (28cm) when completed. Loves to have a super long, shaggy fur for his mane and is five way jointed.
His pattern includes step by step instructions to hand shade your lion's face (optional, but well worthwhile ) and plenty of reference photos.
He is a fun character to make and an option of making a female lion (without mane: )
