Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop!
I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. I send most of my items via Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service, unless otherwise indicated on the item's listing.
I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: https://www.instagram.com/the_crimson_rabbit/ but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here: www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk, my facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thecrimsonrabbitpage and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here: http://www.pinterest.com/crimsonrabbit/

I've used Brie Harrison's 'Suffolk Garden' fabric collection for Dashwood Studios to make this crib or lap sized quilt. With the exception of fixing the binding to the front of the quilt, every part of this quilt has been hand stitched by me - from making and piecing together the 250 hexagons required for the quilt top, to adding the white lawn label to the back of the quilt. You can read all about the creation and making of the quilt on my blog here: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/2015/05/06/making-a-hexie-quilt-grandmas-suffolk-garden/

Some gifts are enjoyed for a season, while others become part of a family's story.
This hand-stitched Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt is the kind of gift that can be treasured for years and, I hope, eventually passed from one generation to the next. Made using the traditional English Paper Piecing method and fresh contemporary fabrics from Brie Harrison's beautiful Suffolk Garden collection for Dashwood Studio, it combines a classic quilt pattern with a modern countryside feel.
Creating this quilt was truly a labour of love. The quilt top alone contains around 250 individual hexagons, each carefully cut, wrapped, stitched and joined by hand. In fact, with the exception of attaching the binding to the front edge, every stage of its construction has been completed by hand by me, from piecing the quilt top to sewing the label onto the back.
The quilt is made from quality cotton fabrics with a cotton batting layer and has been hand quilted throughout using cotton quilting thread, creating a soft finish that will only become more characterful with age.
Measuring approximately 36 x 27 inches (91 x 68cm), it is suitable as a crib quilt, lap quilt or nursery keepsake. If you would prefer to display it as textile art, I'm happy to add a coordinating hanging sleeve to the back free of charge.
Whether you're looking for a special new baby gift, a christening present, or simply something beautiful to mark an important occasion, this quilt has been made to be cherished for many years to come.
UK shipping includes a tracked and signed-for service.
