Item details

This baby umper measures 48 cm around the chest and it is hand knitted using a yarn that is a mix of merino, cashmere and acrylic. It is machine washable at 30 C but can’t be tumble dried. The jumper has an envelope neck for easy dressing but will need to be dried flat to keep the shape.

Each baby is different but as an approximate guide this would fit from 6 - 9 months.

Every garment has a Wild Child label but to avoid scratchy interior labels care instructions and details about the yarn used will be provided on a paper label.

I am currently taking a break and will be back in the Autumn.

I knitted this in late spring and the fresh green leaves of the cherry tree in our garden against the blue skies inspired me to pick the colours for this this stripey jumper.

The Breton striped jumper originates form Brittany where tightly knitted jumpers from wool local to Brittany were worn by fisherman to protect against the wind, waves and wild weather.
