Full description
This pretty scarf has been made using a nuno felting process. Included in Seconds Sunday as a clearance/end of line item. Fine layers of white merino wool fibres have been nuno felted to a silk chiffon base fabric. Along one side a double slightly ruffled edge has been added, one layer being a solid green colour and the other being a blend of green, white and black wool, bamboo and soyabean fibres. The layout of the fibres in the border and manipulation during the felting process results in the ruffled effect. On the reverse of the scarf only the green border is visible.
A striking scarf, designed to lie naturally around the neck but long enough to tie at the neck for extra warmth if required. The scarf measures approximately 108cm x 13cm (42.5" x 5"). It will arrive wrapped in pretty floral tissue paper with a brief description of the nuno felting process and full washing instructions making it an ideal gift.
Nuno felting is a process in which the woollen fibres bind to the silk during felting trapping other fibres along the way.
A lovely scarf to compliment any outfit, smart or casual.
