Embroidered by hand - Bluetit
This little picture was carefully stitched by hand onto a cotton background with embroidery thread strands. I use a freestyle method that shows lots of detail - even the twinkle in the bird's eye!
The stitched piece of work is about 35x35cms and the finished frame is about 10.5x10.5cms. It's ready to hand with the textile protected behind glass, although I photographed it without the glass for clarity and to avoid reflections. The pale grey mount with crisp black edge and the black wooden frame set the work off nicely.
This cheeky little Bluetit would make an ideal gift for a gardener or someone who watches birds and nature.
