Full description
This blood red and grey-black beauty would look utterly fabulous as part of a vintage inspired outfit. This large frilly rose is made from 100% silk dupion, which shimmers scarlet and black. Each petal has been hand-cut, then using traditional french flower-making techniques, shaped into perfect petals. These have then been assembled onto a wire stem and finished with black florist's tape. The rose measures 9cm diameter at the widest point.
The leaves are also made of silk, with the same red on the back, and a deep gunmetal grey silk taffeta on the front. Individually wired so they can be rearranged to suit your hairstyle, they have also been shaped with the flower making tools, resulting in a beautifully delicate leaf structure.
This particular rose can either be hand-sewn onto a 9cm silver hair clip, as shown in the example picture, left as a simple 10cm stem to place in a small vase or on a hat, attached to a comb, or a metal headband covered to match your hair colour Please select your preference from the "Choose Options" menu above.
