Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.

Full description
A Pocket Full of is an original design by Michelle Corbin.
The idea is that the pocket contains a note with a special word which gives them encouragement or just makes them smile. The words can be of your choice. There are a few options to choose from ie hugs, love, courage, happy, Positivity. If you don't see the word you are looking for, just add the word you'd like.
Each one is individually handmade from Cream Linen and Cotton fabrics. The note is made from Felt and coloured sparkly fabric (choose in options). The edges are left raw, therefore a little fraying may occur, but the edges have been treated to prevent too much fraying
The pockets are stitched using a free motion machine embroidery technique, giving them their unique style. No two will be exactly the same.
They have an elastic cord and button for closure, which are hand sewn.
Measure approx 8 x 9 cm
