I love the different effects you can get with stitch and appliqué, and wanted to make something wearable using these techniques. Turns out that tiny stitches and pops of bright colours make perfect pendants!

Full description
This little mustard yellow statement necklace features little hot pink buds with dark blue and turquoise leaves.
I’ve used wool felt and embroidery thread in strong colours to create bright pink blossom with bold dark leaves, on a mustard yellow background. I've mounted the little appliqué in a mini hoop then added a hanging loop and threaded it onto an antique bronze effect chain (nickel and lead free). It's finished off neatly at the back with a wooden backing piece.
Handstitched by me, this statement necklace would look great with your favourite stripy tshirt or little black dress!
