Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
I took a photograph of my vintage Singer Sewing Machine styled with Sylko Threads, which inspired me to embroider this beautiful piece. The one in the frame in the last photo, with Green Detailing was the first I created for my Sewing Room. I then thought other Sewing Machine Lovers might like one too.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

'The Sewing Room' - A Free Hand Machine Embroidered piece of Embroidered Art, Handmade in the UK by Michelle Corbin
Appliqued onto Cold Press Watercolour paper, which measures 10" x 10" approximately (25 cm) and is backed using a woven stabiliser to help secure the stitches.
Each piece of cotton or linen fabric was attached with bonding and then stitched freely, using the sewing machine needle as a pencil, to add the intricate details and wording.
This item comes, 'unframed' measuring approximately 10" x 10" and ready for you to frame yourself
or can be
'Mounted' onto a Linen Covered Mount board measuring approximately 12" x 12" (30cm) again ready for you to frame yourself
PLEASE NOTE
Your beautiful Artwork will arrive beautifully gift wrapped and protected to the best of my abilities sandwiched between boards to prevent damages and will be sent via Signed For and Tracked Services with the Royal Mail.
