Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.

The Sewing Room - Singer Sewing Machine Embroidered Art by Michelle Corbin Handmade in the North East of the UK
A Freehand Machine Appliqued piece of Embroidery, which is stitched onto Cold Press Watercolour Paper measuring approximately 10" x 10" (25cm). The Singer Sewing Machine, is based on my vintage Singer machine, which sits in my living room on display. On it I have some vintage Silko Threads stacked up, which became the full inspiration for this piece.
Each piece of cotton or linen was bonded to the watercolour paper and then stitched using the Free Motion Technique to Embroider the intricate detailing and inspirational words. "Taking each day Stitch by Stitch"
Choose from:
'Unmounted' - The Cold Press Watercolour Paper, with woven interfacing to help secure the stitching on the rear
or
'Mounted' - The Cold Press Watercolour Paper is mounted onto linen covered mount board which measures approximately 12" x 12" (30cm)
Your piece will be received by you beautifully gift wrapped and protected to the best of my abilities and sandwiched between two boards to prevent damages on transit.
PLEASE NOTE - Any damages that occur whilst on transit will be the responsibility of the Royal Mail, where it will be sent Tracked and Signed for.
