Full description
A hand thrown gourd shaped stoneware pottery tea light holder with an image of a hedgehog on the front. This item is 17.5cm tall with a stencilled image. The rest of the outside is glazed with a speckled matte glaze, with the inside in a gloss yellow glaze to reflect the light.
The image was drawn by Annette and from this drawing an adhesive stencil was made. The stencil was eased into place onto the curve of the pot and three coats of glaze painted into the outlines. When the stencil is removed it leaves the outline in the natural colour of the fired clay.
