Full description
This brooch or corsage has been created using a piece of hand made multicoloured felt. Woollen fibres in various colours and embellished on the surface with various silk and glittery angelina fibres have been wet felted to produce a piece of flat felt. This felt has then been cut and stitched to produce a slightly conical floral form. The edges have been finished by blanket stitching using pale pink embroidery floss. At the centre, a large "antique copper" bead has been added. The brooch is backed with grey commercial felt and a silver tone brooch pin added to the reverse.
The brooch measures approximately 8cm (3") diameter.
