Hearts aren't the easiest shapes to hand cut in glass, so when someone gave me some invaluable tips on how to do it, I just had to give it a go. Here are some of the results.

Full description
The 'heart' of each these unique cards is a beautiful Fused Glass Heart on a ribbon.
Each heart is approximately 4 x 4 cm and is mounted on a 5 x 7 card.
Each heart is made from 2 pieces of hand cut glass: one coloured and one clear. The glass is shaped by hand, and the clear glass is stacked on top of the coloured with a shaped inclusion of copper foil or ceramic paper. They are then cooked in our kiln to around 800 c. This fuses the layers of glass together and rounds off the shape. We then attach a metal bail to the heart and thread a colourful ribbon.
The hearts are attached to the cards with a small piece of double sided sticky tape, and can easily be removed and hung as a reminder of your love.
Cards are supplied with a white envelope and are shipped in a cellophane bag to ensure they arrive in good condition.
