I plan to keep my shop open during the Covid 19 crisis and will dispatch as soon as I can using either post or courier. Usually this will be within 24 hours but please be aware that it may not always be possible during these troubled times.
Old glass bottles and brass were recycled in Africa to make these beads. The 'lost wax'method of brass bead making means that each individual bead is unique because the mould has to be broken to get the bead out. This necklace is made with new beads of different shapes and patterns and finished with a matching brass hook and double rings, made in the same area of West Africa. The glass beads are called Krobo beads, after the area of Ghana where they are made. Beads have been made in Ghana for centuries and these beads are part of that tradition, being made in small quantities in local villages, - not in factories!
When you wear this necklace you will be wearing a collection of tiny works of art - and you won't see another one quite like it.

These African beads are so colourful and look gorgeous next to the brass ones. It's as though they bring a burst of African sunshine into the room.
You couldn't fail to make an impact wearing these!
