Full description
An original painted fridge magnet of an unusual creature - the naked mole rat. The little burrowing rodent has wrinkly peach skin, very small eyes and big teeth and feet for digging lots of tunnels in the dirt. This hairless animal is painted against a brown background. Although not the cutest of animals, it is fascinating for being the longest lived rodent, and highly resistant to cancer.
The naked mole rat is painted in acrylics on a small 5cm x 5cm (2" x 2") canvas board, and has been coated with a layer of clear varnish to make it more durable. A 12mm magnet is attached to the back so the little painting can stick on a fridge or other magnetic surface.
