My childhood collection of snowglobes

I used to collect snowglobes as a child. I love the variety of little snow scenes and of course shaking the globe to create a snow storm!
I created here the next best thing to a glass and water filled globe...a soft and squishy little hanging snowglobe decoration for your tree.
My hand drawn illustration was painted onto a screen and then handprinted in two colours, blue and gold on white cotton. These two colours magically created a snowman on a snowy hill in a flurry of snow. Using free hand machine embroidery, I stitched a little top hat, arms, buttons, a smiley face, carrot nose and a coloured scarf. I stitched 'Let It Snow' in black thread, because really we would all love it to snow on Christmas! A beautiful colourful cotton fabric on the back, stuffed with polyester toy filling and a red and white candy stripe ribbon and there you have a perfectly cute Christmas decoration ready to trim those trees.
The little snowglobe measures approximately 9.5cm tall by 10cm wide at the widest part. The ribbon hanging loop is an additional 8cm.
