This clock was the start of a project to suspend the dial in a different way by suspending it by stainless steel wire and on the side a hidden screw in a copper band controls the dial from movement. It is hoped that a further clock will be developed from this idea and create another wonderful variation of this one. The dial is made from English ash which has a dark olive streak in it, this feature continues into the dial support as both parts where cut from the same piece of wood.
The base is from a white knotty piece of English ash and shows the variation between the way timber grows even though the wood is from the same species. Underneath the base are four wooden dowels that form the feet, and help the clock stand on uneven surfaces.
Clock movement is a UTS quartz movement with silver metal hands made in Germany.
Size 220mm high x 140mm wide x 80mm deep, and weighs 0.6 kg (1lb 4ozs).

Our modern day lives are a rush and we need something to remind us not to rush but enjoy our time. This clock is one of those things where we can enjoy the different colours and grain textures.
