I adore fan lamps. They have a certain charm, nestling somewhere in your house, glowing in the dark with their own unique illumination. They are not designed for brightness, but rather the soft, unobtrusive glow that really captures the eye and adds an element of comfort and homeliness to any room.

Stained Glass fan lamp with wooden base fully wired with bulb.
This lamp is handmade by me. It is a red flower set against a wispy cream background. The metal base holds the glass shade but needs to be stabilised with blue tac or something similar so that the shade is held firmly but flexibly in place. This is because if the shade were glued rigidly to the base it would risk being damaged.
I would recommend no stronger than a 15 to 25 watt bulb as this brings out the colours of the glass the best.
