Welcome! This is a very new shop and I'll be adding lots of other items soon. Look out for more hip bags, hip pouches, bags, hats, aprons, coin pouches, tote bags and shoulder bags. All made from recycled, salvaged or found materials.
This hip bag design is the result of messing about with prototypes ( including a couple of waxy jacket pockets sewn back to back) - to address my need to carry a number of small items in my other job as a countryside ranger. Small back packs have to be taken off every time you want to reach something - and shoulder bags just swing around in front and in the way. Hip bags are the answer! My current one is blue and green but every time I make a new colour combo I want one of those too!

Full description
This acrylic canvas hip bag is 21cm tall, 20 cm wide and 5cm deep - just the right size for carrying all those small essentials. There's a secure zipped pocket on the front, and an easy access one just behind it. The small pocket on the rear will easily hold a note book, and the 2 side pockets are perfect for pens and penknives. Inside there are 3 more small pockets to help to keep things separate. The bag can be closed with an elasticated draw cord and toggle.
The bag is generally worn around the hips - with the quick release buckle positioned so that the bag sits on the right flank - out of the way for UK drivers. You can also sling it over your shoulder or cross-body.
This sunshine yellow bag is currently one of a kind - and is made from the scraps from a camper van upholstery project - salvaged! Ethical! The coated acrylic canvas is washable at low temperatures, and a reproofing product can be washed in if required.
