Full description
This little gelatinous looking seaweed was originally collected from Brighton beach, England! Its a lovely dark crimson colour. I have collected various seaweeds from the West Country and around the UK and pressed the specimens using the same technique used to press flowers. They resemble watercolours when pressed and bleed out slightly. These prints are based on the original pressings and the colours are pretty true to the original. Most people associate seaweeds with brown bladderwrack, but when you look closely there are so many beautiful hues like olive, beetroot, fuchsia and candy floss.
This listing is for one print, printed on beautiful thick textured Gesso paper, a5 size 210mm x 148mm
They look lovely all hung together in a set!
