Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
My Children and I were talking about our Memories and Christmas Traditions, and something I made for them a couple of years ago came up in conversation. They were "Santa Stop Here" Signs and they featured these little Elves. My children decided, that even though they are a bit older now, they loved the magic of the Elves, and that I should make more, but this time as hanging decorations .....

Personalised Elf Decorations by Michelle Corbin Design
These adorable Elf Decorations are perfect to hang on the Christmas Tree or around your home at Christmas Time, giving that magical personal touch to your home.
Created in my Home Studio in the heart of the North East of England, these Elves are detailed using Applique and Free Motion Embroidery. The character design is my own and I have many more to share with you.
They are beautifully detailed onto white felt, which measures, once Personalised approximately 15cm x 7cm . A red satin Ribbon is attached for hanging in your chosen place and the little pom pom additions, embellish them just perfectly, giving them a unique and almost ‘peeping’ look. Also, if your child (or you) wear glasses, you can opt to add a pair to your chosen character.
Please allow 2 weeks for turnaround, as these Elves are handmade to order. Also, please bear this in mind as each one will vary just a little in style, giving each one their own unique character.
