Item details

The wooden birds are cut from beautiful birch plywood. The varnishing and sanding process s repeated several times until I have a smooth satin finish which shows off the grain of the wood. As I construct the mobile, threading and balancing it, I add a 10mm clear bicorne Swarovski crystal above each bird to give a little sparkle as it catches the light.
The mobile will add a calm and restful feel to any room in the house, In the lounge to help you slow down and relax after a busy day. In your bedroom to calm you to sleep. Children are always fascinated by mobiles in their rooms.. The calm, gentle movement is very restful and relaxing for everyone.
It can, if you prefer, be painted to your own colour scheme. Click on the orange button above to tell me what you would like.. (Personalisation may take up to two weeks to complete, so please don't leave it to the last minute to order!)

The birds are approximately 9cm from beak to tail
The mobile is approximately 40cm wide and 50cm long

Packaging:
I use recyclable card postage boxes and recycled shredded paper packing. I include instructions to help you get it hung safely and even a hook to hang it from!

I love wood, especially when the grain is on show, It is so gentle, natural and restful, When I saw these cute wooden blanks I knew they would make lovely mobiles if they were simply varnished to display the grain.. They just needed a little something to add interest and the little bicone crystals were just the things to add a little unobtrusive sparkle.

As children often prefer colours, I can paint the birds in colours you (or your children) would like. I have also painted one to go with the colour scheme of a master bedroom, which I can imagine added a real feeling of peace to the room as it was all in coffee and cream.

If you would like something special, do contact me, but please leave me two weeks to make it to order. I can often have an order ready much sooner, but I prefer to under promise and over deliver rather than make promises I may not be able to keep.
