Due to family commitments, Plum Porridge will be closed for the whole of December this year, which means that the last day I am able to accept orders in 2024 will be FRIDAY 29TH NOVEMBER.

I have LOTS of good strong fabric in my fabric cupboard and in an effort to get the doors to shut properly (and therefore room to buy more fabric), I'm making up a few basic tote bags to sell at £5. All well made and fully lined, these are great value for money.

I have made this one to slightly different measurements than usual for those who find shoulder totes can be too long when they hold it by the handles. It is wider than it is long, the measurements are 38cm x 29cm.

A basic tote bag made using indigo denim for the base and blue striped heavier weight cotton for upper part. It is faced at the top with the grey/white medium wight cotton and then lined with beige cotton lining fabric. I have inserted a keyring into one of the inside seams, handy for clipping your keys or purse to.

Handles are blue and white striped and the loop of each handle measures about 57cm, so can be used over the shoulder if needed. Neatly topstitched with white thread.

Your item will be wrapped in new tissue paper whilst the outer packaging might be recycled
