I make my glass beads using a centuries old technique called lampworking (or flameworking). Using a propane and oxygen powered lampworking torch, rods of glass are heated to melting point and wrapped around a steel rod called a mandrel. Once the bead is complete it is soaked in a kiln at over 500 degrees celsius to strengthen the bead, and then cooled very slowly. No two handmade beads are identical, making each piece of jewellery unique.

Lampwork Glass and Sterling Silver Drop Earrings.
Pretty little drop earrings in the palest watery aqua green tinted glass. Hung from sterling silver earwires. Presented in a gift pouch and CeeGee Jewellery Design gift box.
Stamped with a .925 quality mark and my unique sponsor's mark, registered with the Birmingham Assay Office in England.
