I enjoy making little boxes and I think they make lovely keepsakes. I like to combine making them with my love of nature and wildlife, creating little imaginary scenes, often including hares which have featured in my work for many years.

Full description
I have made this little box by carefully piercing out shapes with my jewellers saw and adding detail by hand engraving and metal stamping. Forming the shape of the box and domed lid and carefully soldering everything in place with jewellers silver solder.
The box has an oxidised finish and a lid that lifts off.
Measuring approx: length of hare on domed lid 36mm / lid diameter 33mm / inside diameter of base 25mm / height 44mm
This is a little box but many hours of work have gone into its making.
