Meet Calamity, a beautiful handmade collectible cloth doll in luxury doll velour, fully jointed, wild and wacky merino hair, dressed in quality clothing.
Calamity is a large doll at approx 22" 55cm tall. Hand made from luxury doll velour in doll face pink. She is 5 way jointed with cotter pin fitments to head, arms and legs and has string jointing to knees and elbows.
Calamity has a hand painted face, meticulously painted using acrylics and fabric paints then heat set and sealed.
She also has delicate hand embroidery to one cheek area.
Calamity has very thick wild hair in greens, reds, pinks and purples, sewn on strand by strand taking around 3 hours in total and made from hand dyed and hand spun merino yarn.
She models a fashionable outfit of claret/wine red trousers and a lined tunic in a medium weight patterned fabric, with velcro fastening to the back. Her tunic is lined in red fabric to match her trousers.
Right on trend with her leather effect black ankle boots Calamity is a girl about town, full of confidence and attitude.
She wears a lovely hand dyed wool boucle scarf with frayed edges.
She took around 45 hours to complete in total.
All of her clothes are removable
Calamity is an adult collectable doll and not suitable as a childs toy, she would make a lovely addition to any home.
