The original monoprint from which this was made using flowers and ferns from woodland walks around my Studios in Staithes

Following in the tradition of nature printing I document the landscape in the medium of nature monotype. This print is from an original that was printed using ferns and foliage gathered along the Yorkshire coast. All ink were mixed by hand on the etching plate to produce a unique colour - when printed over the initial black ink a whole range of subtle tones are created.
