Some of the pieces of ocean tumbled glass I pick up is so beautifully petal shaped that I just had to turn them into flowers, and they work so well as poppies.

Full description

Nuggets of beautifully shaped and smoothed Cornish sea glass, coloured red by me, make up the petals of these poppies. They're unique and quirky and perfect for so many gifting occasions - from birthdays to ruby wedding anniversary or just to say thank you.

This piece is set inside a quality 33cm x 24cm glazed shadow box frame that is available in grey or white.

What is sea glass..?

Sea glass is created from broken glass that has been discarded into the sea to be tumbled in the sand and surf until all its sharp jagged edges become perfectly smooth and its appearance beautifully frosted. It's a little bit of nature's magic - who knows how long these pieces have been tumbling around in the ocean or what their original use was and I think this adds a little mystique to each piece I create.
