The lanes and woodlands around our home are filled with all sorts of interesting flora and fauna, and the gorgeous ferns are one of my favourites! They are always pleasing to study and I have enjoyed making this brooch as a homage to their lovely shapes and the colours of the turning seasons...

Full description
A hand sewn textile brooch featuring a fern in autumnal colours.
Edged with small bugle beads to catch the light, and framed with velvet ribbon for a luxurious feel - a little bit of wearable art...
The fern is hand embroidered onto a piece of linen with strands of embroidery thread in autumnal shades and the tactile velvet edge is a soft brown.
It has a brooch back with a safety catch securely sewn on the reverse and it measures just over 4.5cms by nearly 5.5cms. It will arrive in a small organza bag as an ideal gift for a gardener, a walker or an admirer of all things autumnal!
