I'm all for a cuppa and a slice of cake after a long ride! Sometimes the cake stop is the only thing that keeps me going!
The inspiration for this print came from a poster that I was asked to create, to publicise a cycle event in Cornwall. Although the poster itself had for time restraint reasons, to be created in my computer, I drew it white on black as if it was a lino cut. I was so pleased with the result (and so was the client!) that I decided to redo it with minor changes as a proper lino cut print...and here it is! I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

This is an original lino print, burnished from a piece of hand carved lino. By the very nature of hand printed lino prints, there are small differences between each print. It's part of their charm.
Here we have a 6 colour lino reduction print. Basically that means I printed in 6 colours, but only used one lino block. First I cut everything in my design that needs to be white and printed my first colour. Next I cut away everything on the block that needs to stay in that first colour, then print my second colour, and so on. For the last printing I end up with a lot of the block cut away!
I printed this on archival Japanese Shoji paper, making the impression by hand, using a glass paperweight for my baren.
The edition size is only 6 and each print is signed and numbered by me.
The image is 15.4 cm long x 16.2cm wide.
The price is for one unframed print.
The print will be protected in a cellophane sleeve and posted first class in a stout double board backed envelope.
