A triangular based metal tea light holder. Hand made from aluminium, 18 triangles spiral out like a flower to create a beautiful sculpture. Designed so a small candle can be placed at the centre. When lit a warm golden glow illuminates the interior, contrasting wonderfully with other side of silver. The tea light is partly hidden from view, and the angular openings create unusual beams of light on nearby surfaces. Ideal for adding a warm glow to your dining table.
Large: Overall size 13.5cm x 11.2cm ht. triangle edges 6.6cm.
Finish: hand abrasive finish
Supplied in 20cm cube box
Includes Tea light, aluminium match wand and translucent triangular silicone base.

I've always been interested in sculpture and 3D geometry, using many similar forms within my work.
This particular object was inspired by an Icosahedron, one of the five Platonic Solids that were discovered by the early Pythagoreans, circa 450BC.
