A piece of wood that I had, had for a while and waited to the right time to turn, turned out even better than expected, with a beautiful grain pattern and a distinctive purple line running through the piece.

Hornbeam bowl 245 x 65mm finished in Danish oil.
Very striking Hornbeam bowl with a combination of heart and sap wood divided by a slim purplish line, a grooved rim adds a nice detail. It would make a nice decorative piece or good storage for small dry items.
