My love of birds, parrots in particular, inspired me to design this bag. Spix's macaw, also known as the little blue macaw, is a macaw native to Brazil. The main character in the animated film, Rio, is based on a Spix macaw. I understand they are currently extinct in the wild but there is a programme to reintroduce them.

Full description
My love of birds, parrots in particular, inspired me to design this bag. The main colour of this bag is a subtle blue and is inspired by baby Spix macaws, with the white stripe down the centre of its beak. Lace has been used above the beak and a little sparkle is incorporated into the eye, by using a crystal bead surrounded by brown sequins. To resemble the head of a parrot, the top of this bag is curved. The macaw features are appliquéd on the front of the bag only.
This is a small crossbody bag, with a lightly padded adjustable strap, that has a boxed bottom to give depth and therefore more room for your essentials. There is a magnetic snap closure to the main body and inside, a zipped pocket and a slip pocket.
As said, the main fabric is blue, though it is a little difficult to describe the actual shade of blue as it is woven using two coloured threads, turquoise and purple. The resulting colour is subtle and pleasing. The lining is plain beige.
