I have reopened my shop with items that can be posted through a letterbox and I can buy postage online.
I am drawn to materials and techniques which flow to give beautiful colour transitions, textures, layers and organic shapes. I love to become absorbed in the unexpected and the endless possibilities of the process to create pieces which spark pleasure and joy.
The inspiration for this painting came while drinking my coffee and watching the buddleia laden with butterflies.

Full description
I painted this original butterfly picture using alcohol inks. The brown, orange and purple inks flowed together perfectly to create this abstract butterfly. I love the way that the inks flow together to create organic shapes, different colour transitions and texture. Although I can control the movement of the inks to some degree, I also have to let go and see where the process leads.
This art tile would make a beautiful wall hanging or it could be displayed on a shelf. It will come with a hanging loop attached ready for display, and it is sealed with acrylic varnish.

As with all art work avoid displaying in direct sunlight.
