There is something special about stitched words, linking us to the samplers of the past perhaps, and marking a special time in a special way that will last for hundreds of years and be passed down the family. This is why I have called this piece of work 'an heirloom sampler'

Full description
For a special occasion, a sampler with hand-stitched wording of your choice in the centre; names, date, place, anything you like, but please check with me first by email as there is only room for a very few words. This unique embroidery is just waiting for your own words to make it complete!
I have chosen some of my favourite vintage cotton prints for this miniature applique 'patchwork' adding an applique heart and pretty cotton lace as well as a tiny mother of pearl button from my collection. I have incorporated some of my hand-dyed fabrics in subtle colours. The double mount is signed.
Mounted in a lightly distressed whitened wood frame, measuring 8" square the entirely hand-stitched embroidery will arrive corded, with glass in place, professionally framed, all ready to hang with my studio stamp on the back.
I always pack my embroideries with great care so you can be sure it will arrive in perfect condition. You will only pay one delivery charge of £5.50 (1st Class Royal Mail) no matter how many framed items are in your basket. (All cards are post free)
