Full description
An abstract painting inspired by the colours and shapes imagined while listening to a song. Painted on a tall canvas in pale turquoise and a turquoisey blue, with details in a deep purple and silver. There are slightly built up areas and drips of paint which give the canvas some texture. Running between the patterns and drips is a raised path with two footprints on either side, leading to a dark hole. There are jagged metallic silver lines above which catch the light.
The mixed media piece is mainly painted in acrylics, with enamel for the silver lines, on a 20cm x 50cm canvas with deep 3.5cm edges (19.7" x 7.9"x 1.4"). The built up area reaches around 1cm from the surface of the canvas at the highest point. The patterns carry on over the deep edges of the canvas so there is no need for framing, and there's a string attached to the back so it's ready to hang.
The blue canvas painting will be packaged with re-used cardboard and bubblewrap to prevent any damage during postage.
