The Spiral..thought to be the oldest symbol in Celtic culture. For me it symbolises the energy from the sun, the sea, the shape of a wave, or the stars, and many early carvings of them have been found throughout Celtic Lands. Who knows just exactly what the early people were symbolising when they carved them, but they continue to fascinate me and I find myself making lots of spirals in my jewellery.
