I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. The latest additions are two attractive sycamore drinks trays but more items to come.
I wanted to combine light with dark timbers so rosewood and spalted beech seemed to be the right choice for this trinket box.

Full description
A lidded trinket box designed purely for storage of small items. Turned in spalted beech with a rosewood finial. I usually try to make sure that the lid and base grain patterns are seamless. The finish is burnished and waxed.
