My love of Egyptian mythology, history and symbolism inspired me to create this wall hanging. Everything i make is from scratch and stylised. I paint all of my fabrics then layout the colours to decide on the finished piece. Thanks for looking Vx

Full description
Bast Cat Wall Hanging. Measures 19cm x 29.5cm (7 1/2" x 11 1/2") plus mixed, stitched yarn hanging loop, edging and tendrils with handmade painted, rolled paper blue beads making the overall length 74cm (tendrils can be cut to required length and re-knotted).
I printed then painted the Egyptian cat design onto stiffened fabric with lino then outlined it in silver. The background, pyramid and moon are various painted fabrics with stitched details. The metal spiral on the moon is cut from an embossed and colored, softened drinks can. Everything is secured in place with blue/green/metallic machine stitching. The mixed yarns are added to tone/compliment the finished piece. Plain black fabric on the reverse and stiffened to hold it's shape. Light fast but should not be hung in direct or bright sunlight for long periods.Thanks for looking Vx
