Full description
An abstract landscape featuring elements that represent a mountain scene at sunset, put together in a way that isn't overly realistic, but rather gives the impression of the scene. The background is a gradient from orange to red - a bright, colourful sky as the gold circle of the sun is setting. Jagged lines fading from purple to orange represent a mountain range going into the distance. The closest mountain is coloured a solid dark purple, with simple lines on top showing a pine forest. The trees in the foreground are painted in more detail, mainly purple but with an edge of orange where the sun is highlighting them from behind. Overhead is a golden eagle flying, painted in a yellow orange colour.
This original landscape artwork is painted in acrylics on a 30cm (12") square canvas with deep 3.5cm (1.4") edges. Areas of the painting on the trees and mountains are slightly built up with modeling paste, and highlights on the mountains, eagle and sun are painted with gold enamel, which catches the light. The image carries on over the edge of the canvas so there is no need for framing, and the canvas comes with a string on the back so it is ready for hanging.
The sunset painting will be packaged with cardboard and bubblewrap to prevent any damage during shipping and will be sent tracked and signed.
