Full description
This vase has a stencilled feather design against a mottled brown background and stands around 22cm high. The base of the vase has been intentionally left relatively heavy to offset the weight of taller contents.
The decorative style for this vase was inspired by Annette's drawings for adult colouring books. The design was drawn by Annette and from this drawing a set of adhesive stencils were made.. The stencils were eased into place onto the curve of the pot and three coats of glaze painted carefully into the outlines. Once the glaze was dry the stencil was removed to leave an un-glazed outline, which when kiln-fired leaves the image outlined in the off-white colour of the vitrified clay.
