I take the inspiration for my mushroom and toadstool range from nature, the variety of forms and colours of mushrooms and toadstools give me plenty of ideas. I love to use colours that are bright and vibrant to make the mushrooms stand out in the garden setting.

This unusual, colourful ceramic mushroom (or toadstool if you like!) could be a real feature in your flower beds or flower pots or would make a unique present; it would be a really great gift for someone moving into a new home with a garden, or for a couple celebrating their 20th anniversary, which traditionally is marked by giving china or pottery. It would particularly stand out in the autumn and winter garden, when the colour of summer flowers has faded.
The mushroom is hand-made by me in Wales. It is made from strong stoneware clay, glazed and kiln fired to a high temperature, which means that the mushroom is completely weather-proof, come rain or shine, so can be left out in the garden all year round.
The mushroom cap measures 11cm across the base and 11.5cm tall, the stalk is about 32cm long. The cap is decorated with shiny turquoise blue colour with white spots; the stalk is glazed in a shiny brown colour.
