I generally use an outreach Royal mail postal service at the moment which is available on a Wednesday and Friday. Items to Europe, USA and the Rest of the World are sent Royal Mail INTERNATIONAL STANDARD which does not include tracking in the cost.
We have a river near us in Devon where I am lucky enough to spot Dippers now and again bobbing up and down on rocks and diving into the water. They stand out when you see their white throats. In the original collage background I wanted an impression of fast flowing water so cut fluid shapes from two shades of silk and some cotton, plus a tiny bit of lace and gauze to express the frothy churning water, which I then stitched over.
